5 Inspirational Quotes To Use for Daily Life (Part 2)

March 28, 2009 by admin
Filed under Advice & Tips, Self Improvement

Here it is the other 5 more quotes that I feel I ought to share with or remind you of. Laugh at it, think about it and perhaps, make use of it. These are the ones that I like best and it hits me so hard when I realize that it makes so much sense. Some that I laugh at because it is so very true about human nature. Isn’t it good that there are people who see pass the surface of life and look into its very being to say with what they said, which in turn helps the rest of humankind one way or another.

1. “A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.”
~Winston Churchill

2. “There is no happiness except in the realization that we have accomplished something.”
~Henry Ford

3. “There are many things that we would throw away if we were not afraid that others might pick them up.”
~Oscar Wilde

4. “Love is like a booger. You keep picking at it until you get it, then wonder what to do with it.”
~Unknown

5. “You grow up the day you have your first real laugh — at yourself.”
~Ethel Barrymore

Laughter once again, proves to be the best medicine. Once you’ve mastered the knowledge of laughing at yourself, there is nothing you should be afraid of laughing at. Of course, do it politically correct. ;-)

Module 2.1 : Freelancing

March 27, 2009 by admin
Filed under Freelancing, News & Updates, Training Program

A big hello to you!

After about 2 weeks of first discovering your driving factor and then learning more about ‘Get Paid To Sites’, we hope that you’re not satisfied with the few dollars that you have earned at the GPT sites because there’s seriously a lot more to learn and to earn online and we’re just getting started.

With GPT sites as the ’starter course’, we’re now moving on to more serious stuff. And that is Freelancing online. There is a huge market online for freelancing services in the areas of writing and translation, administrative and clerical, designing and programming etc. And frankly, online freelancers do get paid really well once they have gotten the hang of things and are able to deliver to their clients.

Companies all over the world are looking to cut costs and are looking to online freelancers to make up for staff that they need in areas of admin work etc. to save on extra expenses paid for employee benefits etc. To them, they are willing to pay YOU if you are able to deliver what they need.

In this 2 part series module, in the first audio, we went through with you more on freelancing, the types of freelancing jobs available and where to get your freelancing projects and assignments and how to get your clients to notice you. What you have got to do is to be open about doing freelance work from the comforts of your home, learn to protect your own interests with the escrow feature. And you are ready to go! But you would want to start off with the sites that we have recommended for a start because they are highly reliable job boards which you can trust.

Now that you have listened the audio, if you have any questions or thoughts about freelancing, feel free to add your comments over here at the blog post.

5 Inspirational Quotes To Use For Daily Life (Part 1)

March 24, 2009 by admin
Filed under Advice & Tips, Self Improvement

How do people go through the usual part of life when faced with vein-popping stress? How much does it take for one to relax after a long day of hard work?
I mean, the new age thing like Zen or yoga is one of the good things and it actually works. Is there room for the intellectual side of people who can actually smell the roses-in-a-can while on the move? It kind of had me thinking that there really must be something in this ‘mind-over-matter’ thing.
Humor is indeed the best medicine. I mean anyone can turn on the television, watch a comedy and wet your pants after laughing so hard. Despite of what’s been happening, and to those who has gone though the ordeal, it’s better to just laugh while facing the troubles with a clear mind than anger with a clouded vision. One of my favourite celebrities of all time just has to be Woody Allen. You can talk just about anything with the man, and he’s bound to mock the subject and you’ll end up laughing rather than being upset about it.

1. “I believe there is something out there watching us. Unfortunately, it’s the government.” ‘Nuff said.

2. “There are worse things in life than death. Have you ever spent an evening with an insurance salesman?” This happens to be one of the classic ones. I mean the issue about life’s little problems isn’t all that bad, until ‘he’ shows up.

And when it comes to everyday life, he really knows how to make the best out of every possible scenario, and it doesn’t involve a lawsuit if he strikes a nerve.

3. “I am not afraid of death, I just don’t want to be there when it happens.” If it rains, it pours.

4. “I am thankful for laughter, except when milk comes out of my nose.” It could get worse when you’re guzzling on beer… or mouthwash.

5. “The talent for being happy is appreciating and liking what you have, instead of what you don’t have.”

And despite of what may happen to all of us in the future, I guess we all have to see things in a different kind of light and not just perspective. Taking things easy, one step at a time helps to broaden the view in front of you. Things may just look brighter that way.

Share Your Driving Factor & Win A Book!

In ANY industry, you’ll notice that the main difference between someone who’s successful and someone who’s not is their mindset.

Likewise, if you wish to succeed, you have to get your mindset and foundations right.

Now, one of the key things we mentioned inside the Mindset training file was establishing your driving factor.

Basically, you need to have a really strong driving force in order to motivate yourself to take consistent action towards your goals.

Without a strong enough driving factor, you will easily give up or lose focus.

So, have you established your own driving factor already?

Well, it’s time to share in our forum with others.

Now you might be thinking, it’s your own driving factor so why should you share it with others?

The reason is, when you type it out and let others know about it, it’s like a public declaration and it shows that you’re serious about it.

Now, we are going to reward two members who have shared their driving factor with a physical hard copy of one of our recommended books written by Adam Khoo. You can choose between “Secrets of Self-Made Millionaires” or “Master Your Mind, Design Your Destiny”.

The two winners will be selected based on how inspiring and sincere your driving factor is.

But remember, the whole purpose of this incentive is to encourage you to really think about your driving factor and declaring it so that you will not forget about it and others can help encourage you too.

There’s no right or wrong driving factor.

You just need to have one that is going to motivate YOU and you alone.
That’s all it matters. :-)

So start posting your driving factor on our forum now

Why The Internet?

March 19, 2009 by admin

A lot of members have been asking us, “Why The Internet?” Why couldn’t we introduce them to something profitable offline, that is tangible and perhaps, like a offline business idea or venture? Why do we advocate online businesses so much? Well, simple.

Today, most people access the internet for information, products and services. They are online for every single reason possible - to shop, find information, be entertained, learn, watch tv etc. Basically, more and more people are going to the Internet and it is becoming an indespensible aspect of life.

All entrepreneurs have turned their attention to the World Wide Web too because it reaches so many people so quickly. Sales are increased dramatically and expenses are smaller too. Think high profits, low costs. It paints the perfect picture. If we were to tell you to set up a small shop, you would have employees and other expenses. But if you run an online business, you would probably not spend much on hiring employees and paying for rental space.

Selling products or services online has become very popular for many new entrepreneurs ranging in all ages, even as young as 15. In fact, there are more and more young people who are starting their online businesses with little capital but a whole lot of ideas.

Here’s one that you can adopt, for example, let’s say you studied Mathematics in college and got a degree in this subject. You write up an eBook explaining mathematical theories. You make sure it is information packed and very good quality. You sell it for 15 dollars to whoever is interested and you get their email address so you can forward them new updated info. You now have an email list so you can keep in contact with your buyers and possibly sell them other products in the future. You keep track of all your sales, you take care of customer service, and you handle everything.

Guess what? You keep 100 percent of the profits.

Because firstly, you don’t need to pay publishing fees for the ebook. Secondly, you don’t need to pay for a shop space.

Just on those two points alone, you save a whole lot. In other words, you do not need millions to start up a company on the internet. All you need is a great idea and the drive to do most of the work yourself.

So just focus on creating that great idea!

Starting Out On Internet Marketing

March 16, 2009 by admin

When you are starting out on internet marketing, you may find that though the concepts behind Internet marketing might be quite simple, executing effective strategies can be extremely difficult. With this in mind, we will attempt to explain the concept of Internet marketing for beginners and and outline some very basic strategies.

We will cover the concepts of creating a website and placing banner ads for a start.

Creating A Website

One of the most basic steps when starting out on internet marketing is to create a website (or any form of webpage). It can be a website or a blog. However, a blog is much easier to create than a website. Given that there are many free blogging platforms available, it will be easy for you to  set up one in just minutes.Blogs can be easily set up at blogging platforms such as Blogger and Wordpress. Although there are many more free blogging platforms, these 2 are the recommended ones.

Blogs are more casual and personal and is easy to maintain. Hence, it’s recommended for internet marketing beginners to set up blogs instead of websites. You just need to make sure that you update frequently to ensure that you have a steady blog traffic and readership. However, reputation and traffic need to take time to build, so concentrate on that before trying to find and execute ways to monetize the blog.

If you are knowledgeable in web designing and are setting up your website, you might want to consider creating a website that adequately meets your needs. You will have to brainstorm what kind of personality you want to convey through your site, what do you want to achieve on your site, what are the products and services that you want to advertise on your site etc.  Most importantly, you need to create a website which is attractive, functional and suitable to your products and services.

Placing Banner Ads

Banner ads are another popular option for advertising on the Internet. Banner ads are advertisements which typically appear along the top of a website but it may also include smaller ads in other locations such as the sidebar. Banner ads typically include graphics and text which entice Internet users to click on the advertisement. Once a user clicks on the ad, they are directed to your website. This type of advertising can be very effective when care is taken to place the advertisements on high traffic websites which attract an audience who may have an interest in the product.

After you build your website, you can start to sell banner ad space on your website to others. Depending on where you want the banners to be, you can easily advertise about your blog/website’s banner ad space. Advertisers are always looking for new avenues to gain more exposure, hence if you are able to generate a huge traffic to your blog, you can definitely use your blog traffic stats to convince advertisers to advertise at your blog.

These are the very basic ideas and concepts of internet marketing. And you’ll be surprised when it unravels more.. It’s important that you understand these basic concepts before moving on. So that you won’t get lost in the jargons that we use in the audio training program.

There Is No Such Thing As ‘Overnight Success’

March 12, 2009 by admin

There is no such thing as ‘overnight success’. Success does not happen to anybody with just the snap of his/her fingers. Neither is it one that comes without any sacrifices. Success comes after sacrifices, effort, mistakes, failures etc. Instead of locking yourself up in your cage of fears and crying over past heartaches, embarrassment and failures, treat them as your teachers and they will become your tools in achieving success.

So where do we start to get to Success?

1. Stop thinking and feeling as if you’re a failure, because you’re not.

A lot of times we pay too much regard to what people think about us. We care too much about the statistics that society puts us in. Top 20% income earner, Blue collared worker etc. And we often feel like we’re failures when we feel to meet up to the expectations of a successful person (often played up by the media).

Remember,YOU can control how you think and feel. So, stop ill-treating yourself and be proud of yourself. How can others accept you if YOU can’t accept YOU?

2. When you see hunks and models on TV, think more on self improvement, not self pitying.

We often get depressed when we are unable to be like that person in the magazine cover or we are unable to achieve the success of that entrepreneur featured in the newspaper. Don’t become envious and pity the state that you are in. But rather, convert it to become a motivation to become like him/her. Reframe how you look at things and use these people whom you are envious of, as models of your ideal self and work towards achieving that.

3. The world is a large room for lessons, not mistakes.

We commit mistakes every now and then. Sometimes, we regret making those mistakes. Sometimes, we are thankful we made those mistakes. And often, we learn from our mistakes. So, don’t feel stupid and doomed forever just because you did something wrong. There’s always a next time for you to prevent those mistakes from happening. Just remember to take these mistakes are learning lessons and make room for self improvement.

4. Take things one at a time.

Like we said, Success does not happen overnight. So take small steps towards success everyday. Take things one at a time. That way, you won’t be overwhelmed and become disappointed about not achieving success because you know you are getting there with every step you take.

5. Set meaningful and achievable goals.

Success is not a one-stop destination. That was something we learnt from our own experiences. Rather, is it the achievement of several goals that make up success. That means, success does not mean just being ‘The Best Entrepeneur of the Year’ but rather building up a reputable company, establishing networks, meeting the expectations of clients etc. So, you should set regular meaningful and achievable goals and achieving them gradually means that you enjoy success on a daily, monthly and yearly basis.

6. Aim to improve yourself.

Self improvement results to inner stability, personality development and dig this …. SUCCESS. Success also comes from self confidence, self appreciation and self esteem. Hence, you should always continually seek to improve yourself be it, physically or mentally. Aim to achieve an improved and better YOU.

7. Learn to accept change.

Nothing in this world is constant except change. Accepting change means that you are willing to accept and adapt to things that happen to you and around you. Remember that not all change is bad. Neither are they all good. But learn to adapt to changes such that you are able to unleash your potential in different circumstances.

Before we end off this blogpost, note that this world is a place where people of different values and attitude hang out. So, sometimes, in the process of attaining success, you might get criticisms, skeptical remarks or even be discouraged by loved ones and friends. Just remember to stick by your values and dreams and don’t falter.
